8 Must Attend Car Shows in the York-Adams Area


Nothing says summer like a ride in your hot rod! The feeling of the wind in your hair and the sun on your face is second to none. To help you find your happy place, we have compiled a list of the top eight car shows in the area. Be sure to mark your calendars and register early to take your sweet ride for a drive!

# 1: Father’s Day Car and Truck, Waynesboro – June 17
There’s no better way to celebrate Father’s Day than to join dad at the Father’s Day Car and Truck Show in Waynesboro. This awesome event is presented by the Appalachian Golden Classics Car Club and Mainstreet Waynesboro. All makes and models of cars, trucks, and tractors are welcome and it’s only $12 per entry. #2: Hot Summer Night Corvette and Classic Car Show – June 23
Lawrence Chevrolet and the Cumberland Valley Corvette Club is hosting this fantastic show! All makes and models are invited and the cost to enter is just $10 per vehicle. #3: Chevrolet Nationals – June 23 – 25
If you own a Chevy, this incredible show is for you. This weekend long event located in Carlisle has something for the whole family. There is a variety of levels to enter so be sure to do your research to get into the correct category. #4: Chrysler Nationals – July 14 – 16
Calling all Chrysler fans! Carlisle will be full of Chryslers for this weekend event. The website boasts with information about how to register and what you will enjoy at this event. Don’t miss out on the yummy food and good company!

#5: Providence Community Church Car Show – July 15
The Hanover Hot Rod Association is hosting this amazing fundraiser event at the Spring Grove Area Middle School where the proceeds will go to benefit the Providence Community Church. Everyone is welcome and dash plaques will be given to the first 150 vehicles. There will be fun prizes for the “Pastor’s Pick” and the “Church’s Pick.” Be sure to visit the Facebook page for more details.

#6: Truck Nationals – August 4 – 6
Have a truck that needs to get out to stretch its legs? Head down to Carlisle to the Truck Nationals! This event is made for all trucks including Big Rigs, antiques, four by fours, mini trucks, custom vans, and more. There are lots of categories to enter so be sure to visit the website today and register for this three-day event.

#7: Eastern Museum of Motor Racing Cruise Night – August 13
Bring your car, truck, or motorcycle out to York Springs and enjoy an evening of great cars and delicious food. There will be a DJ with fun tunes, prizes, and 50/50 tickets as well. Cash prizes will be given out to the Best of Show in each category. Visit their website for more information.

#8: Corvettes at Carlisle – August 24 – 27
Have you ever seen more than 5,000 Corvettes in one place? If not, then this is the show for you. This enormous Corvette show is one of the largest in the world and provides a good time to all. Buy a pass for the day or the whole weekend. For this year’s show, you have the chance to win a 2017 Stingray Coupe and the opportunity to meet JD Orr. You won’t want to miss this!
